Ah the age old Cricket Bat heartwood question….
It is harder more and bit more brittle then the sap wood as the moisture is moving out and into the sapwood, the whiter bits in the bat.
It will more then likely have more grains if there is heartwood present…. Having more grains generally means it will last slightly [...]
